ABOUT DOON DESIGNS
Hello! The name's Doon, I'm a freelance artist from the UK who's done concept designing, character design, worldbuilding consultancy and, on my free time, a little bit of animation and comic work which includes general art assistance with layouts, coloring, writing and lettering.
Born in England in the Early 2000's, a fond memory I have is of drawing my biggest piece as a kid at the time; A full body piece of Spider-Man. Is was all done to the sound of the Nickleback song in the credits to the first Sam Raimi movie. On VHS. So for clarity, whenever that song finished, instead of letting the Sum 41 song play, I stood up and rewound the tape to that part until the drawing was finished.
I remember still being able to watch it afterwards so... I think it was fine... I think.
Over 20 years later, I'm... Getting there. I may not be the most successful, but, I'm good enough at what I do that I have a reputation! I'm known for putting commitment to the silliest of bits, as a thing or two on this site might've shown! I'm known for having a bit of childlike wonder- I've been informed that this is 'Autistic Swag', which is interesting. And, of course, I'm known for being artist who puts my inspirations on my sleeve, wherever it be games, Kamen Rider or my friends, and for giving my silliest ideas the space to grow into my strongest.
